Abstract

In order to identify the active methodologies implemented in the Emergency Remote Education (ERE) and Blended Learning modalities, a mixed research was conducted under an interpretative and descriptive approach. This study made it possible to determine which active methodologies were most frequently used to improve the learning process in virtual environments. In addition, the research revealed the competencies that both teachers and students were able to develop or strengthen. It is important to highlight that technology facilitated learning and the development of competencies, ensuring that learning was not interrupted. The student-centered approach, during the Covid-19 pandemic, ensured curricular flexibility and the adaptation of active methodologies to virtual work environments. In addition, the effectiveness of these methodologies for the development of competencies in ERE and B-Learning modalities was confirmed.
