Impact of an Academic Management Program in Basic Educational Institutes

The present work is a bibliographic study with the purpose of investigating the impact of academic management software (SIS) on the administrative processes of educational institutions, in order to develop a diagnosis and subsequent implementation proposal in a school in the metropolitan region. From Chile. The research aims to understand how the presence or absence of a SIS affects key aspects such as administrative management, internal communication, decision making and operational efficiency in educational environments. The applied methodology involves a vast analysis of the existing bibliography: searching, compiling, selecting and analyzing different sources of information, which will provide a general and well-founded vision of the research topic. The results of the study reveal that the implementation of a SIS is associated with significant improvements in the automation of administrative tasks, communication between members of the educational community and the ability to make informed decisions. Common challenges are also identified, such as the need for ongoing staff training and ensuring data security. This study aims to be the starting point to diagnose and in the future allow the development of specialized academic management software (SIS), which supports educational management processes with the purpose of covering the gaps and needs detected.
