Este trabajo tiene como objetivos analizar veinte préstamos que el latín toma de lenguas semíticas –del árabe principalmente-, utilizados en De mirabilibus mundi, un libro de secretos del siglo XIII atribuido a Albertus Magnus, y encontrar las razones por las que se usa dicho vocabulario y cuál es su incidencia en el latín medieval.
