Abstract

En el presente trabajo, se expone el contexto en donde el carácter unívoco del concepto de ‘ser’ surge como una respuesta más satisfactoria que la analogía en relación con el problema del conocimiento natural que el hombre puede tener de Dios en esta vida. Asimismo, para que las implicaciones metafísicas de esta doctrina –que surge en ámbito teológico– sean más evidentes, se presenta la discusión de Aristóteles con Parménides en torno a la multiplicidad de los sentidos en que se dice el ser. Dicha polémica sirve como punto de comparación, mediante el cual se pretende demostrar que la estrecha relación entre ser y lenguaje es una clave de lectura válida para entender la posición de Scoto en torno a la noción de ser en general, y a la univocidad en particular.
