Abstract

This essay exposes the individuation process defined by Jung, through an in-depth review of his writings,
as well as some Jungian posts that talk about the same topic. Although individuation is a circular process
an attempt is made to show those dynamisms that tend to be more and less complicated, since no one integrates
for example, their entire shadow nor is absolute individuation achieved. Dante's Divine Comedy is
analyzed from the perspective of the individuation process proposed by Jung, through the main routes of hell,
purgatory and heaven, seen as a partial synthesis of the poet's individuation in his work.
