Abstract

Binswanger thinks that Husserl's attempt to base the experience of things themselves on the structures of intentional life can guide psychiatric exploration. Therefore, he seeks in the fundamental dimensions of existence, the conditions of possibility of being sick that are also those of psychiatry itself.

Although Phenomenological Psychopathology was not born from direct confrontation with patients, this does not mean that it doesn't have internal references with practice. A semiological eidetic based on the different modes of intentionality, or "fundamental categories", is postulated as opposition to a semiology based on psychic functions.

From etiology to a priori anthropology of mental illness, from symptom to phenomenon, here are two possible readings in the field of clinic.
