Abstract

(Torres & Yépez, 2018) thinks the English language has a privileged position in the world because of globalization and the development of telecommunications. Speak and understand English be able to in an opportunity to achieve academic and economic success. Bienestar Autorreportado’s (BIARE) surveys which were made by the Statistics National Institute and Geography in 2014, just show at 6.82% of the participants can speak English (as Charles & Torres, 2022). The situation has not improved, because Mexico occupies one of the lowest positions in the English Proficiency Index (Education First, 2022). Based on this worrying statistic, we have decided to develop a video game that allows students between 6 and 11 years old to expand their English language vocabulary and awaken their curiosity; becoming a useful tool for elemental school teachers. Surveys were carried out in two primaries in the port of Coatzacoalcos, Veracruz; with which the importance of didactic tools to reinforce said learning was confirmed.
