Salesforce as a cloud CRM alternative for developers

Abstract

The intention of this article is to show the advantageous aspects of Salesforce CRM (Customer Relationship Management) over other platforms such as Microsoft Dynamics 365, Oracle CRM, SAP CRM, HubSpot CRM, HubSpot (2024), Zoho CRM and SugarCRM. On the other hand, references from Tito-Huamani, P. L. et al (2023), Puerto V. Tania E et al (2020), Herrero E. Pablo (2021) and Salesforce (2024) were used. As for its advantages, Forbes in 2018, Salesforce managed to obtain 19.5% market share in the industry, more than double what its closest rival has at 8.3%, making it the solution ideal for millions of companies around the world, MCPRO( 2019, mentioned by Puerto V. Tania E. et al 2020). In addition to this, Gartner published the 2023 Magic Quadrant for business intelligence and analysis platforms. Salesforce Tableau ranks as a leader in this category for the 11th consecutive year. This alternative is accompanied by OutSystems, Microsoft, Mendix and ServiceNow, but our opinion is that the Salesforce CRM comes with the most assertive option in the programming field, considering that Salesforce has a development platform in several areas, bissoluciones (2023) . In the methodological aspect, this research is considered documentary type, Santa Palella and Feliberto Martins (2006). The population is made up of the reviewed literature and therefore we speak of documentary population, Fidias G. Arias (2012), with the Documentary Observation technique, since documentary sources were analyzed. Balestrini (2002). Finally, based on the information collected and the positioning in the Gartner chart, it is determined that one of the best CRM alternatives is Salesforce, this is reinforced by the Extensive and Custom development aspect. Likewise, Salesforce collaborating with Microsoft Dynamics 365 offers robust frameworks and extensive development capabilities. Including Ease of Use and Business Orientation with HubSpot CRM, being ideal for small and medium-sized businesses with a focus on automation and marketing. Another alliance is Adobe Experience Cloud, excellent for personalization and optimization of the customer experience. However, the choice will depend on the specific development needs, integration, scalability, and the tools and ecosystems that the company is already familiar with or depends on.
