Abstract

The purpose of this research is to implement a Cloud virtualization solution with an
Opensource tool, whose title is Migration of servers to an open Source Cloud Computing
environment. As for the main authors referenced, we have Estuardo Hernández J. (2023) with
a description of the Proxmox installation, Errazquin Mikel Arocena (2023), with the
configuration of a virtualization system, Union (2020) with information from Proxmox and
Michel L. Arias et al (2019) with an improvement strategy for the use of proxmox. Proxmox
VE is also presented as a primary focus, as a non-profit open source project with services for
virtualization. The methodology is based on applied research, a statement that is made in
correspondence with what is stated by Lozada J. (2014, p. 36), it is of a Projective type
according to what is stated by Hurtado Jackeline (2012), it is considered a non-experimental
field. and transversal According to Upel (2006, p.14). Regarding the conclusions, in view of
the major problems presented in small and medium-sized companies, the decision was made
to consider this project to be a competitive alternative in the large companies in the market.
However, these markets have excellent services but at great costs. In this sense, Proxmox is
the alternative that allows small companies to have access to quality virtualization
technologies and services at low cost with high performance, which translates into a plus for
their businesses, overcoming the technological gap between small and medium-sized
companies. big enterprises. The implementation of this solution allowed the technological
expectations of a virtualized environment with Opensource licensing in the cloud to become
a reality. This opensource option is a contribution to our society and a response to the needs
of SMEs and entrepreneurs.
