Abstract

This project focuses on the challenges faced by the Transportation Department of a company
specialized in the distribution of Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) through land freight services. The
purpose is to address critical obstacles that hinder the efficient execution of its operations and to set up
an operations management model that optimizes services, including its multiple daily tasks. To this
end, the implementation of an operations management approach that improves safety, productivity and
profitability is proposed. Incorporating advanced technologies and innovative approaches into fleet
management presents the opportunity to generate considerable benefits. By implementing such a
system, it is expected to reduce idle time, thus raising the quality and level of service offered. In the
current scenario, efficient fleet management is becoming imperative for transportation and logistics
companies. A well-managed fleet ensures on-time deliveries and services, while reducing operating
costs and improving the safety of operations. A well-maintained fleet also contributesto strengthening
the company's reputation, fostering customer trust and loyalty. This management system not only
facilitates the timely implementation of preventive measures, but also optimizes decision-making to
achieve organizational objectives. Its introduction is expected to reduce idle time, improving service
quality and consistency. In an environment where efficient fleet management becomes crucial,
especially in transportation and logistics companies, this approach ensures on-time deliveries, cost
reduction and lasting customer satisfaction. This sets up a virtuous cycle of reliability and loyalty,
further strengthening the company's position in the market.
